Title: Planning Engineer
Location: Stansted (Hybrid)
Salary: 50-75,000 + car allowance + package
A leading contractor with a strong presence across major civil engineering sectors is looking for a Planning Engineer or an ambitious Assistant Planner to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects and play a key role in project delivery.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of project delivery on a major project, using your Primavera P6 expertise to develop and maintain detailed construction programmes. You'll work closely with site teams, integrating real-time progress updates, monitoring subcontractor schedules, and ensuring that projects stay on track. Your strong site-based experience will be key in providing practical, hands-on planning support while identifying risks and optimising project timelines.
The successful candidate will be a motivated individual with solid experience in civil engineering projects, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate site conditions into effective project plans. You should have a strong understanding of construction methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and confidence in liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Candidate
- Experience in civil engineering projects, ideally in highways, infrastructure, or utilities
- Primavera P6 skills
- Solid site-based experience
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working in a UK main contracting environment
- NEC contract knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
