Our client, a key player in transmission and energy, is currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their team in South East England. This permanent position focuses on delivering high-quality testing and commissioning services within the UK's power distribution network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for project teams
- Attend Client progress meetings, pre-start meetings, and audits when required
- Encourage and integrate innovative and cost-effective working methods across contracts
- Identify and resolve design issues on site in accordance with Distribution Network Operator standards
- Produce detailed Commissioning Plans
- Test and commission High Voltage plant and apparatus on the 11kV, 33kV and 132kV networks
- Test and commission Alarm and Control installations
- Review and correct scheme-provided drawings where necessary
- Ensure safe working conditions for all personnel under their charge
- Support and mentor team members to enhance their technical knowledge
Job Requirements:
- Experience in testing and commissioning on and around the High Voltage distribution network
- Understanding of engineering policy, procedure and legislation
- Strong decision-making and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify and develop operational processes to improve outputs
- Effective communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of current legislation relating to Health, Safety and Environment
- Team player with experience working alongside clients, designers, and site project staff
- Qualified to HNC/Degree level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- A full driving licence
