Group Finance Director

Location: Hertfordshire, EnglandSalary: £115,000 - £130,000 per annum

About the Role: A great national exclusive client with operations across the country and a base in Hertfordshire is seeking a commercially focused Group Finance Director with a strong background in equipment rental, leasing, or the automotive sector.

Job Overview: The ideal candidate will oversee all financial aspects of the organisation, including financial planning, management, budgeting, and reporting for the entire group of companies. Expertise in Hire Purchase and Leasing is essential, along with experience in banking and finance company dealings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to the Group CEO
• Managing the financial control environment and all financial reporting
• Supervising the Finance Team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and annual accounts
• Leading and motivating finance team members, setting objectives, and conducting appraisals
• Managing cash and treasury, including funder relationships
• Supporting the Managing Director in pricing and risk management for new transactions
• Assisting in commercial negotiations with customers and suppliers
• Leading investment appraisals, including M&A projects

Ideal Candidate:

• ACA Qualification with at least 10 years of experience
• 8+ years of experience as a Finance Leader
• Strong background in asset finance and banking/funder relationships
