Mechanical Design Engineer - Defence | CREO | Hybrid Working

Join a pioneering Defence company shaping the future of mechanical systems in safety-critical environments. We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with CREO experience to contribute to the design and development of innovative solutions for next-generation defence technologies.

In this role, you'll work on prime and variant products, developing detailed piece parts and assemblies. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, resolve manufacturing challenges, support testing and trials, and engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless product delivery.

This is a hybrid position: 4 days on-site and 1 day remote, with flexibility around start and finish times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical design using CREO 3D CAD tools.
  • Tolerance studies, material selection, mass property calculations, and structural design.
  • Liaise with manufacturing to resolve issues and support testing.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews across multifunctional teams.
  • Contribute to FMEA, environmental sealing, DFM/DFA, and product lifecycle activities.
