Group Accountant

Based: Stockport

Salary: up to £58k + bonus + benefits

Our client is a rapidly expanding, highly acquisitive, PE backed business. On an ambitious growth journey, the business has grown massively over the last couple of years and will continue to do so with annual growth of circa 20%+ through organic and acquisition. We are looking for a Group Accountant to join the team involved in Head Office entity finances and group consolidation

Role:

  • Establishing robust intercompany processes on new finance system
  • Co-ordinate through audit and statutory accounts process, ownership of head office entity accounting
  • Working with Group Shared Services and business units ensuring best practice is adhered to in respect to financial reporting, data integrity and group policy compliance
  • Accounting for head office entities - journal posting & balance sheet reconciliations
  • Establishing new intercompany processes, focusing on capturing transactions accurately and strong reporting outputs
  • Ownership of group intercompany matrix, supporting FC monitoring compliance with group internal controls framework to support rapid future growth
  • Supporting co-ordinating Group audits, entity audits and group annual report
  • Co-ordinating subsidiary statutory financial statements
  • Supporting with integration of acquires entities and all acquisition accounting
  • Supporting anticipated IFRS transition in next couple of years
  • Continuous improvement of automating processes and controls

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified from practice
  • Interested in projects and strong financial accounting knowledge (UKGAAP, IFRS)
  • Continuous improvement mindset and able to communicate across teams/divisions
  • Strong technical accounting and reporting abilities
