About the Role:A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an IVA Specialist looking to transition into corporate insolvency within a well-established insolvency firm based in Stockport. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) who is eager to expand their knowledge and develop their career in corporate insolvency and restructuring.
You will receive comprehensive training and support to become a Corporate Insolvency Administrator, gaining exposure to a variety of corporate insolvency procedures, including Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs), Administrations, and Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVAs).
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the administration of corporate insolvency cases, working closely with insolvency practitioners and senior administrators.
- Prepare statutory reports, letters, and documentation related to liquidations, administrations, and voluntary arrangements.
- Communicate with creditors, directors, employees, and other stakeholders, providing updates and guidance on insolvency matters.
- Conduct financial investigations, reviewing company accounts and directors’ conduct as part of insolvency casework.
- Support in the preparation of proposals and reports for creditors’ meetings.
- Ensure compliance with insolvency legislation, industry regulations, and internal processes.
- Maintain case records, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all documentation.
- Experience working within IVA case management, with a strong understanding of personal insolvency processes.
- Desire to transition into corporate insolvency, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with an ability to interpret financial information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders professionally.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Prior experience using insolvency software (e.g., IPS, Turnkey) is advantageous but not essential.
- A structured training program to transition into corporate insolvency administration.
- Support for professional development, with potential to study for CPI (Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency) or other industry qualifications.
