CompanyNigel Wright is delighted to be supporting a North East-based company in the recruitment of an experienced Business Development Manager. Our client provides a range of services to assist chemical, energy and other industrial sectors in improving their efficiency. Our clients’ services include feasibility studies, site evaluations, control services, project management, commissioning, project documentation control and handover documentation.RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join the team. This is a newly created role and will be pivotal in driving growth for our client.LocationIdeally based in the North East, but we may consider candidates from Leeds to the Scottish border, provided you are willing to spend regular time in the North East office. Team cohesion is crucial in our client’s small business environment.Key Responsibilities:Client Acquisition: Focus solely on business development by mapping out and identifying potential clients and securing meetings with them. Content Generation: Create relevant content and case studies for platforms such as LinkedIn to transition the business from purely outbound to a lead generation model.Event Participation: Identify and recommend trade shows, conferences, and events that the company should attend.Consultative Selling: Understand customer pain points and provide tailored consultative solutions.Targeting New Clients: Identify and target new, high-value customers.Service Promotion: Promote and sell the full range of consultancy services.Experience
  • Must have experience in systems integration.
  • Demonstrable experience in helping a small company grow.
  • Sales Approach: A hunter mentality with a strong drive to engage with customers and grow new business. The ideal candidate should have a relationship-driven sales style, with a solid technical understanding.
  • Proven ability to generate and drive leads.
