Who we are looking for

A Senior Accountant, who will play a vital role in the delivery of projects from a financial regulatory perspective, whilst ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.You will be an integral part of the North American regulatory returns team, who are responsible for ensuring continual delivery of regulatory returns in current and new markets.A large part of the role will require you to maintain the delivery of a number of current regulated North American markets, to ensure all requirements for duty, taxes and adhoc requests are met.The North American market is expanding rapidly, making this a brilliant opportunity for someone who has a keen interest in process improvement and a desire to collaborate. You will have the opportunity to become the project lead within new territories, which will require you to work closely with external regulators and partners as well as our internal stakeholders across the Finance department and the wider Business.This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from their first day of employment.

Preferred skills and experience

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to show initiative and grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
  • Proactive and organised, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of the gambling industry and an interest in a wide range of sports is desirable.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and overseeing the production of North American regulatory returns.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring any required audits are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • Preparing and paying of duty and taxes.
  • Helping to create a team of experts to ensure continuity of service.
  • Developing and maintaining a tightly controlled environment relating to the accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reporting.
  • Maintaining and developing reports for regulatory returns in conjunction with Senior Management.
