Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: Circa 70,000 + 15% Bonus
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to oversee residential house building projects based in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards, while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the construction of residential projects in line with design specifications and safety policies
- Ensure all activities follow the company's health and safety procedures, maintaining a culture of safety on site
- Coordinate day-to-day activities on site, managing site resources including labour, plant, and materials
- Develop project documentation, including programmes and budgets, in collaboration with the Contracts Manager
- Oversee the programming, planning, and execution of all works
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring their work meets required standards and deadlines
- Liaise with design teams, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure project deliverables are met
- Monitor site progress, quality standards, productivity targets, and costs
- Identify potential savings and highlight overspends
- Ensure the quality of construction is upheld throughout the project lifecycle
- Produce and maintain progress reports, quality plans, and site schedules
Requirements:
- Demonstrable track record of residential house building project management
- Professional qualification to an appropriate level
- Ability to lead and work with multi-disciplinary teams and interface with clients
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Excellent technical and practical knowledge with the ability to resolve important details
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and be valid to drive in the UK
- First Aid trained
- SMSTS qualified
