We are working with an exciting client in the meat industry who is seeking a Telesales professional to join their team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting and selling a range of high-quality meat products to foodservice establishments, aiming to expand the customer base and boost sales. This role is not only about sales but also includes a variety of administrative duties to support the team.

Day to day of the role:

  • Identifying and targeting potential customers within the foodservice industry to grow the client base.
  • Achieving and surpassing sales targets through lead generation, product presentations, and sales contract negotiations.
  • Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring their needs are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Collecting customer feedback on product quality, packaging, and pricing, and relaying this information to the product development team.
  • Handling administrative tasks such as invoicing, managing Excel spreadsheets, and utilising in-house systems to assist the Head Office team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in telesales, ideally within the meat industry or a related field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to present and negotiate effectively.
  • A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to understanding and fulfilling customer requirements.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the capability to work autonomously.
  • A collaborative approach to work, able to engage with team members and various departments effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer use, particularly Excel spreadsheets and Outlook.
