Job Title: CQC Programme Lead Location: Hybrid - 2 days in the office (flexible depending on meetings) Rate: Up to £500 per day (depending on experience) ________________________________________ Job Overview We are currently seeking a highly skilled CQC Programme Lead to support the Assistant Director for Adult Safeguarding and Quality Assurance in ensuring the Adult Social Care Directorate is fully prepared for regulatory inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). As a CQC Programme Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing preparations for ex-ternal assurance, developing a self-assessment report and an improvement plan, and en-suring compliance with CQC standards. This role requires strategic leadership, collabora-tion with senior stakeholders, and a strong understanding of CQC regulatory frame-works for local authorities. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage CQC readiness preparations, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations. * Develop and submit a robust self-assessment report and oversee the creation of an improvement plan. * Manage and maintain the operational relationship with the Care Quality Commis-sion. * Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align operational and strategic practices with CQC standards. * Oversee the Practice and Quality programme to drive transformation and im-provement. * Monitor compliance with statutory requirements, identifying and addressing gaps where necessary. * Lead change management initiatives that support regulatory compliance. * Provide expert guidance on regulatory frameworks, best practices, and quality as-surance. * Line-manage and provide mentorship and leadership within the Quality Assurance and Practice Development Team. * Ensure clear, comprehensive, and accurate information is provided to support deci-sion-making. * Work collaboratively with local authority leadership, regulatory bodies, and exter-nal partners. ________________________________________ Essential Skills & Experience: * Proven experience in leading CQC inspections and regulatory compliance within Adult Social Care. * Strong programme and project management skills, ideally with PRINCE2 or MSP Practitioner certification. * In-depth knowledge of the CQC regulatory framework for local authorities. * Experience in developing and implementing self-assessments and improvement plans. * Exceptional stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence at a senior level. * Experience in change management and transformation programmes. * Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. * Political awareness and the ability to provide strategic briefings to senior leaders and stakeholders. ________________________________________ Benefits of the Role: * Flexible hybrid working arrangements (minimum 2 days in the office, depending on meetings). * Opportunity to work on a high-impact programme that shapes Adult Social Care services. * A dynamic and supportive team environment within a leading local authority. ________________________________________ If you are interested in this position, please send your CV to Mayur Rabari at m.rabari @edenbrownsynergy.com or call on Benefits of working with Eden Brown Synergy include: * DBS check processed and paid for by Eden Brown Synergy * Referral bonus if you refer a colleague or friend to us * Bonus for finding your own job * Twice weekly payroll * Dedicated recruitment consultant who will support you throughout your job search, employment and beyond.
