Role details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Senior to join a fast-growing business. This role offers the chance to contribute significantly to the ongoing development and implementation of a group-wide risk and compliance strategy for a large but highly entrepreneurial business. You will engage in a variety of cross-group process reviews and key control reviews across business units, coordinating group-wide projects focusing on specific high-risk areas.

Responsibilities of the Audit Senior

As an Audit Senior, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the risk and compliance landscape of our client's organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve planning and executing individual reviews, conducting assessments of key controls within business units, and identifying findings with auditees. You will prepare and finalise audit reports, follow up on the implementation of agreed actions, and engage with relevant teams across all group businesses to implement policies and controls. Additionally, you will coordinate group-wide projects focusing on specific high-risk areas.

  • Planning and executing individual reviews
  • Conducting assessments of key controls within individual business units
  • Identifying and agreeing findings with auditees
  • Preparing and finalising audit reports
  • Following up on the implementation of agreed actions
  • Engaging with relevant teams across all group businesses to implement policies and controls
  • Coordinating group-wide projects focusing on specific high-risk areas
  • Managing ad-hoc significant risk events should they occur and assisting group businesses in taking appropriate actions

What the successful candidate will bring

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIA)
  • Group Accounts knowledge
  • Experience in risk and compliance in a corporate environment
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of important projects
  • Exceptional communication and management skills
  • Consistently produces high-quality written outputs with minimal revisions
  • Experience in Internal Audit management
