School Office Assistant - Immediate Temp

Location: Sunbury on Thames
Start Date: ASAP
Pay rate: up to 12.50ph
Hours of Work: 30 hours a week over 5 days (10am - 4.30pm), 39 weeks a year

We are delighted to be partnering with this vibrant and welcoming school where every team member plays a crucial role in shaping the future of their students. We are looking for a dedicated Office Assistant with a passion for finance and marketing to join this busy office team.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to provide varied administrative support within this school. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be based in the main school office and will be the first point of contact for receiving and processing payments and online financial transactions. Your role will encompass a range of tasks, from financial record-keeping to marketing the school and nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain robust administration systems, processes, and procedures for the school's financial information.
  • Use various computer applications to perform daily tasks, including Bromcom and PS Financials.
  • Record banking and school meal data on ScoPay, ensuring timely updates against relevant students.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and prepare financial reports.
  • Address parental inquiries related to online payments.
  • Produce the weekly school newsletter.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts for the school and nursery.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Competency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Online DBS - desirable, not essential, we will process one if not
  • Effective and clear communication skills.
  • Strong administration skills with the ability to use your initiative.
  • Personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • A flexible approach and the capability to work independently.
  • Experience working in an educational environment is desirable but not essential.
