A local charity in Sunderland is seeking a new Finance Manager for a permanent or temp to perm position.
The role involves managing day-to-day finance operations, including month-end duties, preparation of management accounts, and staff management of a small team.
Candidates should have experience as a Management Accountant and be comfortable with hands-on finance tasks and ledger work.
The position requires qualifications such as being AAT Qualified or Part Qualified CA, with good people management skills.
The salary for this role is competitive, and applicants should ideally have a few years of relevant experience in finance management.

The RoleWe are supporting a fantastic local charity in their search for a new Finance Manager to join them on a permanent, or temp to perm basis.This is an office based role in Sunderland, working within a small team and running the day to day Finance Team. Duties will cover the following areas of responsibility:

Month end duties including accruals, prepayments, journal entry etc.
Preparation of management accounts pack
Providing detailed analysis and commentary
Staff management - small team of two
Handling day to day Finance operations

About YouThis role is suited to an experienced Management Accountant, who is happy to get stuck and supporting with day to day Finance operations.

Qualified by experience, AAT Qualified or Part Qualified CA
Competent Management Accountant, comfortable preparing full sets of Monthly Management Accounts
Comfortable being hands on and supporting with ledger work/finance admin where required
Understanding of Payroll beneficial
Good people management skills and experience
