GSL Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join schools in Sunderland. This is a great opportunity to support children in their learning journey, helping them grow academically and socially.

About the Role:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students, offering individual and group support. You will help create a positive and engaging learning environment, ensuring every child gets the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities of a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA):

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
• Work one-to-one and in small groups to help students understand key concepts.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Assist in developing teaching materials and resources.
• Support children's social and emotional well-being.
• Gain valuable hands-on experience in a school setting.

Requirements to be a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA):

• A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is desirable.
• A proactive, energetic, and caring approach to working with children.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• A fully checkable work history.
• Flexibility to adapt to different classroom settings.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
