Job: ToolmakerLocation: Sutton ColdfieldSalary: £37,000 to £42,000 (DOE)Double Day Shifts::Mon - Thu 6am to 2.30pm, Fri 6am to 12pm/ Mon - Thu 1.30pm to 10pm, Fri 11am to 7pmWe are looking for experienced Toolmaker to join our very successful client in Sutton Coldfield. The Toolmaker will be predominantly involved in the highly skilled, complex and specialist detailed work of maintaining the engineering tooling used to produce components, products and assemblies.This requires the application of a broad range of activities including the interpretation of Engineering drawings and technical instructions and the use of hand, machine and automated computer controlled machine tools and measuring equipmentToolmaker Responsibilities:

Manufacture of new tooling to engineering drawings in line with timing plans.
Carrying out proactive maintenance on moulding tools that come from production and logging them in the system.
Preparing moulding tools in a good condition ready for production.
Liaise with setter’s overs issues with the mould tool.
Maintains tooling to the correct standards.
Maintain spares and equipment to avoid lengthy repairs time.
Maintain working area to a high standard. Working to 5S’s

Toolmaker Skills Required:

Bench fitting
Manual machining using miller, lathes and surface grinders.
TIG, MIG welding experience
CNC milling is desirable
Wire eroding is desirable
At least 4 years in a similar role
