HR Manager

Due to expansion, I am working exclusively with a fantastic client, based in Sutton Coldfield, in recruiting an experiencedHR Manager,to join on a full-time permanent basis.

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible in dealing with employee relations, resolving issues, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures and implementing new and improved methods for the company.

This is a hands on role, we are looking for an experienced and organised individual who can hit the group running, looking at current procedures and offering expertise and guidance to improve.

The role is offered as part-time, around 32-hours per week across 4 days in the office, with the opportunity for 1-day remote working if desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management
  • Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law
  • Conduct thorough investigations and ensure compliance with legal and company standards
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee relations
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues
  • Monitor and analyse ER metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Support and coach managers in handling employee relations matters effectively
  • Mediate and facilitate conflict resolution between employees and management
  • Assist in the development and delivery of ER training programmes for managers and employees
  • Keep up to date with changes in employment law and ensure the company's policies and procedures remain compliant
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as required, contributing ER expertise

Salary and Hours:

  • Salary around 40,000 pro-rata (around 32,000) - dependent on experience
  • Around 32-hours per week spread across 4-days
  • 1 x Remote Working Day per week

About you:

  • Extensive experience in Employee Relations
  • Proven track record of managing complex ER cases
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with all levels of staff
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable
