Overview
To deliver comprehensive business support service for Adults and Children’s Social Care, including support of business and social care processes, customer facing support, statutory, formal and multi-agency protection, strategy, missing, legal planning, public law outline, panels, trackers and child sexual exploitation meetings, in accordance to Sutton’s Child and Adult Protection Procedures. Social Care complaints, subject access requests and recruitment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver core tasks under the direction of a more senior member of staff to ensure services run efficiently and effectively
- Deal with routine issues/problems to ensure customer issues are resolved effectively, escalating when necessary
- Operate complex machinery or tools in order to deliver tasks to the agreed standard
- Procure goods and services within financial limits using the companies purchasing systems and rules
- Updating and maintenance of data
- Processing referrals and applications
- Support the management of client relationship and expectations
Experience, Skills, Qualifications, Knowledge
- Ability to co-ordinate meetings including statutory and complex meetings/conferences/ reviews/panels/ trackers
- Experience of using a wide range of IT packages in a business environment, and to use these to deliver a cost-effective and customer-focused service
- Ability to use the most appropriate style and method of communication with people at different levels inside and outside of the organisation
- Ability to analyse information, and considering alternative solutions, adapting to new ways of working where necessary
- Ability to provide a customer-focused approach to service delivery, and participate in identifying and implementing opportunities for improving the service
- Undertake ongoing learning, training and development
