I am looking for a general insurance broker dealing with both commercial and personal lines insurance policies. We have a very loyal bank of clients, with over 3,500 live policies and have continued to develop and grow over the years.Â
Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity to join my client as an experienced Insurance Administrator. This is a varied role and we are looking for someone with experience of ideally working in an insurance brokerage, with excellent customer service skills. You will need to be computer literate, have fantastic communication skills and a good work ethic and willing and ready to learn our systems and processes. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly experienced team of well-regarded insurance professionals.
This is an office-based role, covering the full-time hours of 9:00 – 17:00 Monday – Friday.
Day to Day responsibilities:
- Assisting the existing team with policy administration
- Processing of payments and issuing of receipts to clients
- Issuing documentation to clients via post and email
- Taking calls and responding to e-mails from clients
- General ad-hoc administration tasks
- Managing own workload to ensure that any requirements within your role are met in a timely manner
Required skills
- Excellent communication skills (both telephone based and responding professionally to emails)
- Understanding of the insurance industry, ideally personal lines / commercial products
- Able to work in an organised and efficient manner
- Able to work under pressure and be punctual in order to meet deadlines
- Good computer and typing skills
- Ready and willing to learn and retain information
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word
- A genuine interest in progressing a career within the insurance industry
