We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary School Behaviour Mentor to join one of our fantastic schools in Sutton. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive behaviour and supporting the emotional well-being of our primary school students.

The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide individualised support to students with SEN and/or behavioural difficulties, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges.
  • Develop and implement behaviour intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and other school staff.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and guardians.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour changes.
  • Work closely with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to support students with additional needs.
  • Deliver workshops and training sessions on behaviour management strategies for staff and parents.
  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with ASD.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience working with primary school-aged children in a behavioural support role.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • Brilliant communication and collaborative skills
  • Patient and empathic personality and ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
