Payroll ManagerPermanent - full-time, but may be able to reduce to a 4-day weekSwansea£40-45,000 per annumAn excellent opportunity for an ambitious sole Payroller with experience of running a large weekly/monthly industry payroll or for an existing Payroll Manager to take the next step in their career. You will need to be an authority on payroll policy and systems; managing 3 direct reports and providing a full end-to-end payroll service to almost 800 employees! You will need to be a master of MS Excel to optimise reporting methods for numerous weekly payees based in multiple sites across the whole of Wales!You will become the organisation's "subject-matter expert" on payroll related matters; it will be your job to keep yourself and the rest of the team up to date with changes in law, tax and best practice. Your role will include the following;

  • Implementing, maintaining, managing and operating payroll processing systems
  • Ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, bonuses, benefits, attachments of earnings, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Processing of new employees, leavers and changes in pay rates.
  • Ongoing analysis of payroll systems and processing software
  • Managing fleet vehicles and fuel cards

Key to this role is innovation and initiative; I am looking for someone with a wealth of experience possibly from a number of industries (care, facilities, education or manufacturing), with the drive to streamline and improve processes.
