Robert Half are pleased to be working in partnership with a highyl regarded, well established company in Swindon to recruit an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity that will be fully responsible of ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable process, whilst managing a team and improving processes. The Accounts Payable Supervisor role will be suitable for an experienced individual that is looking to be a part of a reputable company and someone that would thrive in a management role. The salary is between £28,000 - £33,000 plus hybrid working and other excellent benefits.

The Role

The main duties of the Accounts Payable Team Leader role will consist of:

  • Managing the workload of the Accounts Payable team.
  • Carrying out daily team meetings and setting tasks/objectives.
  • Preparing weekly payment runs.
  • Supporting with month end duties; bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journal input and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Implementing/improving processes and procedures.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Dealing with queries and escalations.

Requirements

To be considered for the Accounts Payable Team Leader role, you must ideally possess the following skills/attributes:

  • Must have proven accounts payable/purchase ledger at a senior level.
  • Management/supervisory experience would be preferred.
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Highly organised.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Confident user of Excel; pivot tables and lookups.
