Conveyancing Head of Department - SwindonSalary: Up to £80,000 (DOE)Hybrid Working Available

TSR Legal is excited to be working with a well-established local law firm, renowned for its excellent legal services and commitment to building lasting client relationships. Due to ongoing growth, the firm is expanding its Residential Conveyancing team in Swindon and is seeking a Conveyancing Department Manager to lead the team.

Our client is a reputable multi-service law firm that is looking to grow and strengthen its conveyancing department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled manager to oversee a dynamic team, ensure operational efficiency, and continue delivering outstanding client service.

Role and ResponsibilitiesAs Conveyancing Department Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the conveyancing team by setting goals, monitoring performance, and ensuring the overall success of the department.
  • Developing and executing strategies for growth, focusing on client satisfaction and profitability.
  • Managing team performance, providing guidance, and ensuring the team is productive and delivering high-quality work.
  • Supporting the team with case management, training, and technical support, working closely with senior leaders.
  • Contributing to business development, building strong relationships with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Analysing current workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and driving process enhancements.
  • Managing fee income targets, performance reports, and business projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including GDPR and industry regulations.

The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience managing a team within a residential conveyancing department.
  • Strong knowledge of residential conveyancing, including complex transactions such as lease extensions and new builds.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to managing performance and achieving departmental targets.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to drive growth and build profitable client relationships.
  • Experience in working with senior management and contributing to the strategic direction of the department.
