Advanced Social Worker - Learning Disabilities

Salary - 49,000

This established team are committed to supporting people with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives. They are now seeking an experienced Advanced Social Worker to this dynamic and supportive team.
What you'll do:

  • Manage Complex Cases: Oversee a challenging caseload, conducting Care Act assessments, reviews, and support planning.
  • Lead and Develop: Share expertise, provide supervision, and drive best practices within the team.
  • Safeguarding Champion: Manage safeguarding inquiries and ensure the well-being of individuals.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including health, education, and housing providers.
  • Promote Independence: Empower individuals to make choices and decisions, utilising the Mental Capacity Act as needed.


What you'll need:

  • Social Work Qualification: A recognized social work degree and registration with Social Work England.
  • Post-Qualification Certification: Practice Educator, Best Interest Assessor, or Approved Mental Health Professional.
  • Experience: Significant experience working with individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and professionals.
  • Passion and Commitment: A genuine desire to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities.
