We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority, who are looking to appoint a Disrepair Surveyor on a 12-month contract.

This will be a full-time position based in Swindon, and you will be expected to be in the office 5 days per week. The hourly rate for this role is £46.97 and will be paid via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate will have extensive Disrepair experience, and be confident liaising with legal counsel on all tenant related issues.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Overseeing and manage disrepair claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Conducting property inspections and assess the validity of claims
  • Developing and implement strategies to minimize disrepair cases and associated costs
  • Working closely with contractors, maintenance teams, and surveyors to coordinate necessary repairs
  • Monitoring the progress of repair works, ensuring quality and timely completion
  • Managing budgets and costs related to disrepair claims and repairs
  • Acting as the key liaison for legal teams regarding housing disrepair cases
  • Ensuring that all disrepair claims are documented and handled in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing
  • Experience carrying out Disrepair Surveys
  • Experience dealing with Damp and Mould Surveyor
  • Experience liaising with Legal Counsels  

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
