Senior Estimator

Are you an experienced senior estimator with a strong background in civil engineering and construction? This innovative company has been delivering complex infrastructure projects internationally for over 150 years, enhancing environments and pushing engineering boundaries

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate pricing for tenders, ensuring compliance with company governance procedures.
  • Work closely with Bid Managers, Planners, and Design Managers to develop competitive pricing methodologies and outputs.
  • Provide pricing support for early contractor involvement projects, advising on the most competitive design options.
  • Produce competitive price estimates for tenders, including labor, plant, materials, subcontract packages, temporary works, staff, preliminaries, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare handover pricing documents for successful bids and review feedback on tender prices for future tenders.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 15-20 years of experience in civil engineering and construction, with a strong knowledge of the UK construction market.
  • Higher education in civil engineering or construction (a degree is desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present to clients and stakeholders effectively.
  • Well-presented, accountable, innovative, and committed to delivering high-quality services.
  • Design and influence solutions to address inefficiencies and promote continuous improvement.
  • Take personal responsibility for delivering services with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Work safely and build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, colleagues, and partners.
