Finance Manager

Up to £50,000 + benefits

Are you an ambitious part or newly qualified accountant seeking to join a progressive SME company who are at a start of a 5-year plan to double turnover to £30m+. You will work for a recently promoted Financial Controller who is on course to become Finance Director in the next 2-3 years. The role can offer true career progression into the current Financial Controller role. The role is based onsite 5 days a week in an empowering and positive office environment, which is led by a Managing Director who is passionate about developing the staff with a no ceiling approach.

In this role you will take ownership for the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth and profitability. The successful candidate will manage a team of three and support the implementation of new systems and automation of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly cashflow reporting
  • Producing monthly Management Accounts and associated reports
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Review payroll
  • VAT & Tax reporting
  • Year-end and working with the auditors
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Support the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

To be considered for this role it is ESSENTIAL that you are a part / finalist or newly qualified accountant and committed to finishing your exams if still studying in the very near future. You will be hungry to learn and develop as a finance professional and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment which is growing at a rapid rate through organic growth and acquisitions. You will have previous exposure of managing a small team and have a team working personality.

In return you will receive a salary up to £50,000, early finish on a Friday at 2:30pm, 25 days holiday plus stats which rise by +2 every two years up to 30 days, stakeholder pension, death in service up to x4 and other general benefits.
