Graduate Technical Specialist (Science and Engineering Communication)

What you'll do:

  • Craft engaging content across multiple channels: white papers, blog posts, social media, presentations, website articles, and more.
  • Be in front and behind the camera: Conduct interviews, film footage, take photos and support your colleagues to do the same
  • Become a communication star: Develop content for diverse audiences, from technical reports to talks at conferences.
  • Dive into market research: Analyse trends, identify opportunities, and keep PI-KEM at the forefront of the industry.
  • Be a STEM and Careers champion: Help us organise and participate in activities that inspire our future workforce.

We're looking for a graduate with:

  • A strong degree in Materials Science/ Engineering or Processing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or closely related degree. A solid foundation in these fields will be crucial for the role
  • A Masters or Bachelor degree including marketing or communication modules, or can demonstrate experience in producing science/engineering based communications
  • A knack for turning complex ideas into clear, engaging content
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment

  • Experience in using a range of communication and engagement methods to build, and deepen relationships within science and technology sectors
  • Passion for and excited by Science and Technology with a desire for continual learning
  • Comfortable in creating and delivering targeted communication materials and activities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative and as part of a larger, cross-functional, multidisciplinary team. A team player.
