Our client, a well known charity based in Taunton is looking to appoint an experienced HR Advisor on a temporary basis until March 2025. Ideally on a full time basis (37 hours) but would consider 30 hours. Hybrid working will be considered once established in the role. This position is to assist in providing high-quality HR service by offering professional personnel and employment advice, including individual case management. Also, to contribute to the implementation and development of HR systems, procedures, and policies for an efficient service. Responsibilities to include: 1. Management Support: - Maintain current knowledge of legislation and provide advice to managers on various HR issues. - Develop effective working relationships and promote best practices within the HR team and across the organisation. - Lead or work on projects to improve services. - Participate in meetings and maintain contact with network groups to share best practices. - Promote health and well-being in the workplace. 2. Employee Relations: - Advise managers on HR policies, employment legislation, and manage individual cases. - Provide advice and support on change management processes. 3. General HR: - Support colleagues, contribute to HR policies and procedures, and process contractual changes. 4. Communication and People Skills: - Communicate confidential information across the organisation with diplomacy and discretion. - Uphold confidentiality at all times. It would be preferred to have a candidate that is CIPD qualified.
