The Role:

This newly created role is perfect for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working independently while collaborating closely with management. You'll focus on optimising HR processes, supporting managers with employee performance, and driving engagement across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and improving HR policies and procedures.
  • Advising managers on performance-related issues and supporting early interventions.
  • Managing the recruitment process, including working with external agencies, Indeed, and the company website.
  • Implementing a structured approach to training and development.
  • Acting as the main liaison for the external HR provider.
  • Overseeing benefits administration, pensions, and payroll coordination (externally managed).
  • Handling disciplinary procedures as required.
  • Producing HR reports on key metrics such as sickness absence and training hours.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in an SME environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and implement process improvements.
  • Comfortable advising managers on HR issues, particularly around performance management.
  • Experience using HR systems (Bright HR or similar would be an advantage).
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach.
