An opportunity has arisen for a detail-focused Payroll Assistant to join a well-established and values-led organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a part-time position offering hybrid working, with just one day per week required in the Telford office.

You'll play a key role in supporting the monthly payroll cycle for both the organisation and its partners - ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input and process payroll data, including statutory payments and pensions
  • Maintain accurate sickness absence records
  • Provide administrative support across payroll functions, including letters, reports, and user guides
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers
  • Assist with ad hoc payroll and HR projects

About You:

  • Previous experience in a payroll or busy admin environment
  • Understanding of statutory payroll calculations and relevant legislation
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident working with Excel and handling confidential data
  • Strong payroll systems skills
