An opportunity has arisen for a detail-focused Payroll Assistant to join a well-established and values-led organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a part-time position offering hybrid working, with just one day per week required in the Telford office.
You'll play a key role in supporting the monthly payroll cycle for both the organisation and its partners - ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input and process payroll data, including statutory payments and pensions
- Maintain accurate sickness absence records
- Provide administrative support across payroll functions, including letters, reports, and user guides
- Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers
- Assist with ad hoc payroll and HR projects
About You:
- Previous experience in a payroll or busy admin environment
- Understanding of statutory payroll calculations and relevant legislation
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident working with Excel and handling confidential data
- Strong payroll systems skills
