Management Accountant
- Location: Outskirts of Stroud
- Job Type: Full-time.
We are exclusively partnering with our client in the beautiful Stroud area on their hunt for a Management Accountant to join their small finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a growth role.The role encompasses financial reporting, maintaining control of key balance sheet accounts, providing management with regular and ad hoc reporting, and supporting the Financial Controller in various tasks.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Produce monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform ledger reconciliations and manage stock valuations and reconciliations.
- Analyse overheads and conduct variance analyses to support financial decisions.
- Maintain financial ledgers for subsidiary companies and provide periodic reporting.
- Maintain group loan records and create intercompany rents.
- Monitor forward exchange contracts and complete ONS surveys.
- Conduct annual reconciliations and gather data for annual insurance renewals.
- Provide analyses for the annual audits and ad hoc analyses for the Managing Director and the Purchasing Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse data and identify trends.
- Clear and concise reporting capabilities.
- Experience or understanding of stock control and product costing from a manufacturing environment
