An amazing school in Thame, Oxfordshire, want an enthusiastic and patient candidate to join their community as an SEN Student Support in September. The school are looking to expand their support staff and welcome a passionate SEN Student Support to support all of their students. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to gain an insight to working in an education environment or wanting to get into the psychology industry. The SEN Student Support role gives you the chance to be mentored by on-site professionals, implement different therapeutic techniques and make a difference.

The School:

  • Special Education
  • Students aged 4-19
  • Onsite parking for staff
  • Professional guidance readily available
  • Purpose-built facilities eg. construction buildings, sensory rooms and music and art therapy rooms.

The SEN Student Support Role:

  • Assisting students with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, OCD, Dyslexia
  • Supporting students on a 1-1 basis
  • Guiding students in lessons with both lesson material and emotions
  • Encouraging independence and self-regulation
  • Implementing different therapeutic techniques
  • Participate in meetings with occupational and clinical therapists and psychologists to improve students' quality of education
