Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team at a nursing home in Tunbridge Wells. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
  • Support residents with meal preparation and feeding where necessary.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' well-being.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to senior staff.
  • Assist with mobility and use of equipment such as hoists and wheelchairs.
  • Ensure a safe and clean living environment for residents.
  • Follow care plans and ensure person-centred care is delivered at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, other care staff, and families to provide the best care possible.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar care role is desirable but not essential (full training provided).
  • A caring and compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not essential).
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
