Due to increased workload, our client is now recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Southern Region on schemes in the Kent and Sussex area.


Key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental objectives
  • Preparing plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
  • On-site measurement and measurement of drawings as required
  • Identifying potential risks and evaluate options for control
  • On-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work and provide evidence for resolution of disputes
  • Feasibility studies of clients requests
  • Preparation of estimates and analysing sub-contractors quotations
  • Preparation and agreeing variation accounts and the preparation and agreeing of interim valuations and final accounts
  • Prepare and issue certification for contract payments to sub-contractors
  • Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedure

Skills Required

We are looking for an ambitious individual with great communication skills, who is confident with a flexible approach.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving and the ability to negotiate across the various levels of any construction environment as well as handle the financial and mathematical demands of the role by possessing impressive numeracy and IT skills.

The ideal candidate must have experience working on heavy civil projects and working with the NEC form of contract.

Due to this being a regional based role, the successful candidate must be ok to travel and have a full UK driving license.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
