We are looking for a skilled Electronic (Component) Test Technician for an immediate start to work within our Enhanced Inspection Department at our Thatcham-based Warehouse. Salary up to 40,000.

As part of the Enhanced Inspection team, your responsibilities will include conducting visual inspection and electronic component testing in a temperature- and humidity-controlled room. Testing requirements will include:

- Visual inspection

- Testing of capacitance and resistance using an LCR meter

- X-Ray analysis of internal structures of electronic devices

- Solderability testing of terminals and component leads

- XRF testing to determine material makeup

- Chemical and heated decapsulation

Extensive knowledge of electronics theory would be beneficial, including Ohm's Law, resistor and diode identification, DC circuit theory and transducers, integrated circuits, component programming, and power and signal waveforms. CPU and memory testing experience would also be advantageous but is not critical to the job role.

Requirements for the Test Technician role include:

- A BTEC/ONC/HNC/C&G/Apprenticeship or equivalent in electronics engineering

- Ability to work in a clean room environment

- Attention to detail and reliability

- Good written English and the ability to conduct and write test reports

- Knowledge of AS6081, AS6171, ISO17025, and IDEA 1010B are advantageous but not required.
