Due to increased workload, we are recruiting a number of Material Planners for a major organisation in Uttoxeter.
Working for one of the UK's most recognised brands at one of their busy divisions, these are interesting and varied roles, working within the material planning department.
- Continuity of supply of parts for aftermarket operations
- Material requirements planning and expediting from a supply base
- Lean inventory management
- Pro-active review and continuous improvement of suppliers / logistics / transportation / packaging
- Maintenance of performance in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Problem solving / process improvement initiatives
Requirements
The candidate will ideally have experience in a logistics/planning/purchasing/supply chain type of environment, preferably in a similar high volume manufacturing or distribution environment/industry.
Candidates with strong administrative abilities, particularly with knowledge of Excel and SAP will also be considered.
Candidates should be ambitious, self-motivated, committed and enthusiastic with good communication skills.
Suitable candidates will be IT literate, particularly in Excel and knowledge of SAP would be an advantage but not essential.You will be highly organised, able to multi-task and prioritise a busy workload with a sense of urgency against objectives set.Whilst initially on a rolling temporary basis, there may be opportunities for permanent roles in the future for the right person.
