Our client, based West of London in the Uxbridge area is an established UK based building and construction business with plans to grow.

Description

As HR Director for this Building and Construction (based to the West of London / Uxbridge area) your key focus will be to professionalise the HR function and set a people strategy to support ambitious growth plans. Specifically to:

  • Develop and lead a cohesive people plan that supports the business's strategic vision in a commercial environment.
  • Lead the Organisational Development Programme, collaborating with business leaders for implementation.
  • Promote and develop a culture of continuous improvement with the Executive and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Plan and direct employee training and development programs, including apprentices, graduates, managers, and executives.
  • Manage the business succession planning strategy, identifying talent and managing career aspirations.
  • Resolve competitive and strategic issues within legal and risk guidelines through stakeholder management and influencing.
  • Collaborate with centres of expertise and functional teams to share insights and knowledge.

Profile

The successful candidate will already be working in an HR Leadership position either as a Head of HR or an HR Director.

You will ideally have experience working in Building and Construction or infrastructure such as Road, Rail or Civil engineering. This is highly desirable.

You will ideally have experience:

  • Working in a business with a volume workforce based across multiple locations.
  • working in a business that has had to modernise and transform the people and HR function to support the growth of a business.
  • Delivering people solutions in complex, transforming organisations.
  • Handling complex employee relation cases.
  • In organisational design and implementation.
  • Developing teams and individuals.

The successful candidate would ideally be based close to the Uxbridge area / West London and able to be in the office circa 3 days a week.
