Job Outline:

My client who is an award-winning designer, and manufacturer of specialist scientific products is now seeking an additional CAD/ Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Uxbridge.

As a proficient user of mechanical design software, ideally Autodesk INVENTOR Professional and AutoCAD Mechanical, you should have expertise in designing small component parts, as well as assembly jigs and fixtures.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the mechanical design of thin metal components, CNC machined parts, and the maintenance and control of design drawings.

On a daily basis you will be using Autodesk Inventor to create drawing to relevant standards.

In addition to this you will also Source component parts from external suppliers andOversee the assembly of prototype designs.

It is expected that you will adopt and refine existing designs, including 3D modelling and performing structural analysis with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

You will also ensure designs comply with British and European Technical and Legislative Standards (BS, ISO, DIN, GOST, ANSI, AS, GB).

Experience:

Candidates will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Mechanical Design role.
