We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician with a strong background in mechanical engineering. This role is ideal for someone with experience in education or significant industry knowledge. The successful candidate will support both lecturers and students in a dynamic educational environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide support to lecturers during lessons, ensuring that all teaching aids and materials are prepared and available.
  • Assist students during lessons, offering guidance and support with their work and projects.
  • Maintain workshops and tools, ensuring everything is in good working order and safe for use.
  • Manage stocks and materials, keeping inventory levels maintained and ordering supplies as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A background in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in an educational setting is preferred, but candidates with strong industry knowledge will also be considered.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
