A well-respected Nationwide charity is currently looking to recruit a Specialist Support Worker to start with them on a temporary contract as soon as possible.

Hours: 35 hours per week Monday to FridayDuration: Three months ongoing Location: UxbridgeRate of Pay: £17.50 per hour via an umbrella company

Main duties of the role:• Work in a Specialist service specifically for people who have been victims of trafficking, forced labour, or other forms of modern slavery • Manage a caseload of around 6 male victims helping them to negate their trauma and creating trust • Write and update individual support plans using an evidence-based risk assessment checklist • Liaise with external agencies including GPs ensuring clients get the correct support and assistance • Support service users through the immigration service by explaining their rights • Work within a team of one other Support Worker and a Assistance Support Worker to make sure the best possible service is provided at all times • Endure health and safety are upheld at all times, housing management functions are maintained correctly and any repairs reported• Assist clients through any crisis adhering to safeguarding at all times

Essential requirements:• An Enhanced DBS from within the last year with the Adults and Children’s list checked or willingness to obtain• Experience or an interest in working with vulnerable people• Good IT skills including Microsoft packages
