Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Cell Operative to join our aerospace machine shop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components for the aerospace industry, ensuring adherence to strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC milling and turning machines to produce high-precision aerospace components.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Setting and operating manual and CNC machines to manufacture components to technical specifications.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using conventional measuring techniques.
  • Ensure all work meets aerospace industry quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete necessary documentation.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and work closely with maintenance teams to resolve technical problems.
  • Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
  • Carry out basic maintenance on machine and tools.
  • Deburring of components to required standard, completed within machine cycle.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a CNC Operative in a precision engineering or aerospace environment.
  • Machine shop experience.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to machine maintenance.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in an aerospace setting.
