About the Role:

We are excited to recruit a dedicated Human Resources Officer to join a leading manufacturing business based in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Human Resources Officer to be part of a growing and dynamic company, where you will play a vital role in supporting the HR function across a variety of activities.

As the Human Resources Officer, you will be responsible for providing advice and support to management and employees on a wide range of HR issues, ensuring compliance with policies, legislation, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive HR support to managers and staff, including guidance on employee relations, performance management, and absence management.
  • Assist in recruitment activities, including interviewing and onboarding new employees.
  • Support employee development and training initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Manage employee records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Support the HR Manager with HR projects and initiatives.
  • Promote a positive company culture, fostering employee engagement and retention.
  • Assist with disciplinary and grievance procedures when necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Human Resources Officer or HR Advisor, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent (preferred).
