NJR Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a well-established, Independent Financial Planning company who are looking for an experienced IFA Administrator to lead a team of financial planning administrators in their offices in Wakefield.

The successful candidate will be joining a company who have built up an excellent reputation within the industry for their high quality approach to their clients, and ongoing support and training for their staff.

Responsibilities will include

Managing a team of 20 Administrators
Allocation of daily, weekly and monthly tasks across the team using the Intelligent Office system.
Training of new and less experienced members of the Adviser Support team and the wider business.
Maintenance of holiday, sickness and other absence records.
Helping colleagues understand the requirements of submitting work requests to the team correctly.
Completing the 'post implementation' of all investment and pension related new business.
Actioning letters of authority/appointment and obtaining plan information from product providers
General office administration

What we need from you:

In depth understanding of the administrative function within the Financial Services industry, acquired over a minimum of 5 years by working in a Financial Advice practise or similar
Working knowledge of complex product administration, including AIM IHT Mitigation schemes, Discounted Gift Trusts, Lifestyle Trusts and Pension Drawdown
Previous experience in a team leader/manager position within financial planning is essential
Ability to support and train others using effective communication, demonstration and training techniques
Ideally a working knowledge of Intelligent Office and key Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
