Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a Surveyor - Property Management to work for Wakefield council.

This is a full-time locum role paying £22.51 - £25 per hour

Key Responsibilites:

  • Responsible for Landlord and Tenant matters including lease interpretation, advice on granting and taking of leases, dilapidations, and general land and property queries from prospective tenants or members of the public.
  • Responsible for Community Asset Transfers across the council, working closely with colleagues in the Place and Communities Directorates to ensure property and land used by community groups meets both their needs and the long term strategic objectives of the council.
  • Provide information and support the development of the council’s estates strategy.
  • Provide leasehold advisory services across the council on operational matters.
  • Responsible for the identification and resolution of title issues, boundary disputes and encroachments, with regards Council and Land Registry records.
  • Responsible for the resolution of all property and occupation matters arising within the council.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Educated to a Academic Degree Level or equivalent or a significant level of experience relevant to the post.
  • Recent experience.
  • Experience of supporting a team according to available resources and skill levels and working co-operatively with others.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of licensing
  • Good organisational skills
