Finance Manager - £40,000 - £50,000 - Oxford / Hybrid (3 days in the office)

FryerMiles are partnering with a leading manufacturing company with ambitious growth plans who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team.

This role would suit someone from an SME background who is used to getting involved in all areas including commercial, technical and transactional finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the finance director with month end processes including reconciliations, P&L, audit and transaction postings
  • Hosting monthly cost centre reviews with cost centre managers
  • VAT submission and reconciliation
  • Generate sales and margin reports and analyse specific findings.
  • Generate and analyse overhead cost reports on monthly basis for cost centre holders and finance director
  • Recurring month end journals including accruals & prepayments
  • Manage small team including AR and AP
  • Support AR with managing credit limits, credit insurance and debt recovery
  • Responsible for monthly customer rebate system. This includes ensuring copies of contracts are retained, providing calculations, arranging credit notes and preparing accrual
  • Charges and reconciliations of intercompany accounts (Quarterly IC service Invoice)

Experience required:

  • At least 5 years in a similar accounting role
  • Partly or newly qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA or ACA) or similar
  • Good understanding of accruals and accounting principles including VAT
  • Computer literate with advanced Excel skills
  • SAP R/3 experience desirable
