Finance Administrator
Position: Finance Officer, temporary basis
Rate of Pay: 13.05 per hour
Recruiter: Opus People Solutions, on behalf of our client
Location: Hybrid, Civic Centre within Walsall Town Centre on Thursday's weekly.
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 5.15pm with 1 hour unpaid break, Friday's: 8.45am - 4.45pm with 1 hour unpaid break.
Duration: 9 months with potential to extend.


About the Role
We are seeking an experience, skilled and versatile Finance Administrator to join the Client Welfare Service Team. The role is crucial to ensuring transactions are actioned on behalf of vulnerable adults and raising and resolving all queries for the invoices.
The role of the Finance Administrator involves working closely with the Client Welfare Service Team. You will be complete online training, following shadowing and train to follow the processes and work onsite on Thursday's for printing purposes. As you progress in the role, you will be open to development opportunities in being trained in further job responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To action payments of invoices on behalf of vulnerable adults.
  • Data entry and maintaining the record of invoices.
  • Use a keen eye to notice any discrepancies in invoices and investigating the queries.
  • Follow procedures used in transactions.
  • Act in the best interests of appointee and deputy clients at all times.
  • Provide support and assistance in dealing promptly with all financial and administrative matters relating to appointee and deputy clients. This will include liaising with service users, offering advice and guidance, payment of invoices and other liabilities and ensuring timely payment of personal monies.
  • Responsible for accurate and effective recording and maintenance of financial transactions, including investigation of unreconciled amounts, within the relevant social care client systems and corporate financial systems in order to ensure integrity of data.
  • Effectively manage own workloads and resources as allocated, attend and actively participate in meetings as appropriate and work effectively and efficiently within a team.


Essential Requirements
Experience:

  • Good IT skills and proficient in using Microsoft Applications.
  • Previous experience in administration background is preferred.
  • Previous payment and invoicing experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Commitment to work onsite at the Civic Centre within Walsall Town Centre on a weekly basis on Thursday's.
  • Have a positive, can-do strong attitude towards managing own workloads.
  • Eager and willingness to progress.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence to communicate with other service members.
