Job Title: Educational Psychologist
Pay Rate: £44,364 - £57,425 per annum
Location: Walsall
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm


Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated Educational Psychologist to support students aged 7 to 18 across two specialist school sites in Walsall. These schools cater to a diverse range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and complex needs. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a meaningful impact on young people’s lives through psychological assessments, interventions, and staff training.

Job Requirements for this Educational Psychologist role:
• Must be HCPC registered as an Educational Psychologist
• Must hold a Doctorate in Educational Psychology
• Experience working with children and young people or relevant transferable skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and external professionals
• Understanding of psychotherapeutic approaches, particularly in relation to young people with complex needs
• Knowledge of legislation related to SEND, trauma, mental health, and safeguarding
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites is required


This role involves providing consultation, psychological assessments, and therapeutic interventions within a specialist setting. You will play a vital role in helping students develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills while also supporting staff in delivering effective, therapeutic strategies.
