Primary Teacher

Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for an SEND Primary Teacher to fill a position in one of our partner SEND schools in Walsall. The post is to start September 2024 and will be for the remainder of the academic year with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and caters for children with a broad spectrum of special educational needs and learning disabilities. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about working with young people and those teachers that are enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile.

Teachers with a wealth of experience in primary settings that believe they have transferrable skills that can be utilised and advantageous in a setting for those children with severe or complex learning difficulties, social and communication learning needs and/or ASD and associated behaviours.

A suitable candidate will:

  • Hold QTS
  • Have experience in a primary setting and a sound understanding of the curriculum
  • Have experience working with children with severe or complex neds, SEMH and or ASC or have transferrable skills in order to excel in this type of environment
  • Be able to work well as part of team as well as individually and use own initiative to think on their feet.
