We're looking for a Management Accountant to join a thriving finance team to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. If you're great with numbers, love problem-solving, and want to play a key role in financial management you will excel in joining a modern business with plenty of room to grow!

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support business planning.
  • Cost Control & Analysis: Monitor and analyse costs, identifying trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reconciliations: Oversee key reconciliations, including bank accounts, stock, intercompany balances, and accruals/prepayments.
  • Audit & Compliance: Support the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • VAT & Taxation: Prepare VAT returns and assist with tax planning and compliance.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights, helping drive operational efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Provide financial analysis and reporting as required to support strategic decision-making.
What were looking for
  • Qualifications: AAT qualified, working towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience (QBE).
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within management accounting
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy, ensuring financial records and reports are error-free.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Confident in presenting financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively across departments while also managing tasks independently.
